Perry LaRay White — often known as Mr. Perry White or Perry White LA — is a Los Angeles–based fashion and lifestyle designer celebrated for his evening wear, special-occasion pieces, and adaptive/wear collections. From dressing icons like Queen Latifah, Macy Gray, and Nicole Murphy, to creating stage wardrobes for global stars including Chris Brown, his work blends glamour with craftsmanship, making him a sought-after name in entertainment and beyond.

STORY
Perry’s love of design began in childhood, watching his mother create clothing for private clients. She gave him fabric scraps, a needle, and thread — sparking an early curiosity that quickly grew into talent. By his teens, he was known locally as “the kid who could make clothes,” already earning recognition as a designer before fully grasping the weight of the title. Once he did, he knew it was his calling.

While studying at LATT, Perry produced a menswear collection that was showcased at the Fred Segal Melrose store in Los Angeles, cementing his early reputation in the industry. From there, his career grew organically, designing bespoke looks for artists, entertainers, and high-profile clients who valued originality and boldness in their wardrobe. His brand, Perry White LA, became synonymous with statement-making fashion tailored for the spotlight.

Today, Perry’s work has been worn by some of the most influential names in music, film, and culture — from Prince and Snoop Dogg to Ice Cube, LL Cool J, and Chris Brown. His designs have appeared on tours, red carpets, and special events, bridging luxury with personal expression. With each collection, Perry continues to channel the creativity first sparked by his mother’s sewing machine, proving that his story is as much about resilience and heritage as it is about fashion.
