Jason Hawkridge is a multi disciplinarian artist who lives and works in Walthamstow, East London
In 2023, he began the Sacred Wings series, combining sacred-geometry-inspired shapes with detailed drawings and his love of insects and their geometric forms. The works are painted on recycled Liquitex canvases (made from two plastic bottles) and up-cycled boards salvaged from building works, using sepia acrylics to evoke both the age of sacred geometry and the timelessness of the insects depicted.
Jason Hawkridge is a Walthamstow-based artist whose practise spans multiple disciplines. A lifelong creative, he found an early passion for drawing, particularly diagrams and geometric shapes — elements that remain central to his work. He began his career in commercial illustration before expanding into acrylic painting, printmaking, and large-scale wall effect works, recognised for bold use of colour, layered surfaces, and rich distressed textures.
At the heart of Jason’s practice is instinct — a deep need to create — balanced with the structure of geometry and natural forms. This duality drives both his personal work and his collaborations with interior designers and developers, where he produces bespoke artworks for homes, restaurants, and luxury developments across the UK. Each commission is tailored to its space and purpose while remaining true to his distinctive style.
The Sacred Wings series reflects Jason’s wider philosophy: sustainable in its materials, reverent in its forms, and instinctive in its execution. By uniting sacred geometry, natural symbolism, and reclaimed surfaces, he creates works that feel timeless yet contemporary — alive with history, creativity, and the drive to make.
